Job description
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join an exciting project for our Fortune 500 client. The role involves building a repeatable deployment framework for enterprise AI and data applications. You will work on existing apps and make them portable, secure, scalable, and deployable within client-owned environments. You will define the deployment architecture, production hardening standards, CI/CD model, observability patterns, and environment templates required to move AI- and data-heavy applications from internal use to client production environments.
This is a remote-first contract position with a required overlap of US working hours (2-6 PM CET).
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable, repeatable deployment frameworks for AI, data, and cloud-native applications.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated environment provisioning, and deployment workflows to ensure consistency across environments.
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines that enable reliable, automated delivery across development, testing, staging, and production.
Standardize application packaging and deployment models to enable seamless delivery into customer environments with minimal customization.
Define and implement best practices for secrets and configuration management, identity and access management (IAM), networking, secure connectivity, observability, logging, monitoring, alerting, and release management.
Improve production readiness by strengthening application resilience, scalability, security, runtime governance, and operational excellence.
Observability Improvements: Enhance monitoring for services to improve system reliability.
Scripting & Automation: Develop, implement, and maintain scripts to automate processes and reduce manual efforts.
Work Conditions
Type: Full-time 3-month contract with high posibility of extension
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Remote (99%) in Europe; must be able to travel freely within Europe for workshops.
US Time Zone Overlap: Required (2 PM - 6 PM CET)
